Another busy week, full of Shakespeare, college essays (for my senior, not me!) and work.  Also, I came down with a cold that refuses to leave me.  Here are the new additions to my shelves this week:

10 Años con Mafalda by Quino - Unless you are Spanish speaking and probably my age, you won't be familar with Mafalda, but I love her.  This book brought so many good memories and it still makes me laugh like crazy.  LOVE it!

The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion - I've heard great things about this one.

A Monsters Call by Patrick Ness - This book has been in my TBR list for a long while and I decided that now was the right time to read it.

Vicious by V.E. Schwab - This book was highly recommended by Steph from Cuddlebuggery, so I decided to give it a try.  

Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Search by Gene Luen Yang - We are big fans of the Avatar series and I put this one on hold at the library and it finally came.  'B' already read it and next in line is 'C' and then I get to read it :)  The family that reads together, stays together, right?

Review

All That Glows by Ryan Graudin - This cover is so pretty that I can't help but want to read the book.  I already started it, and so far, so good.

Second Star by Alissa B. Sheinmel - This book is based on 

My Last Kiss by Bethany Neal - A contemporary story based on Peter Pan, count me in!

Fire & Flood by Victoria Scott - I love Victoria Scott's The Collector series (hi Dante!) and I hope this one is just as good. 

The Lost Boys by Lillian Carmine - A romance with ghosts... intriguing.

Why I want to read it: The only book I've read by White is Paranolmancy, which I enjoyed, but I'm curious about this book.  I love graphic books too and this sounds like a combination of paranormal and graphic.  Interesting and different.

My Review

I love Twilight.  As such I read anything related to Twilight that I can get my hands on.  I was very excited for the graphic novel, although I don’t usually read them anymore (I used to read a lot of comics when I was youngerJ).  A good thing about the Twilight graphic novels is that they are not only beautiful, but they follow the story much more faithfully that the movie ever did.  I have to say that the characters look a lot more as I imagined they would  when I was reading the books that what they look like in the movies (don’t get me wrong, I love the movies too, didn’t I just said I love Twilight!)

Volume two starts right where volume one ended (after the meadow scene) and therefore is much more action packed.  Again, the art is just beautiful and the adaptation is really good too.  A must for Twilight fans!
