Top Ten Books I Wish Had Sequels

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish

This one should be easy because this happens to me all the time!  What do I mean by this?  Well, I read a book and then keep wishing for more.  Even if the ending was entirely satisfying  it seems like I always want to know more. It's a curse I must bear!

1.  The Distance Between Us by Kasie West - There were too many open questions at the end.  I want to know what happens with Caymen's grandparents and how she adjusts to her new life.

2.  Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan - I want for Dash and Lily!

3.  The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen - This includes probably all her books anyway!  I always want to know more about the wonderful characters she creates.

4.  Edenbrooke by Julianne Donaldson - I need more Phillip, that's for sure!

5.  If I Should Die by Amy Plum - This ending to the trilogy was no ending to me; more like the beginning of a whole new chapter. Besides, I need Jules to have his happy ending too!

6.  Guitar Notes by Mary Amato - I know Lyla and Tripp got along famously, but I was hoping that something more develop between them.

7.  Goliath by Scott Westerfeld - I think Mr. Westerfeld can keep writing about Alek and Deryn and I'll keep reading more and more.  Especially now that the know the truth :)

8.  The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith - Another too open ending for me.

9.  Haunting Violet by Alyxandra Harvey - The ending to this book is just pain cruel.  It really reads like the first book in a series.  I need more!

10.  The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson - I need more, not because this book was not sufficient, but because it is SO GOOD that I need it be longer.

What books to you wish had sequels?

Liza I cannot believe I forgot about Haunting Violet! I totally agree with you, wish there was more of Violet, I really enjoyed this book.

I'm about to read The Sky is Everywhere, about time considering I've had it on my wish list for AGES and then since purchasing it, it's been sitting on my shelf for a few months already LOL

  4. Dash and Lily were great characters, I'd be happy to read a couple of snippets more about them! I really want to read Guitar Notes, it sounds like the kind of book I'd really like to read.

  6. Yes to the Truth About Forever - that's my favorite Dessen books. Dash and Lily would be interesting too. I've been meaning to read Edenbrooke - it looks good!

Also a fan of Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight.
