Well, I have always loved reading, it is one of my passions and an addiction, but with all that goes on with life as we grow up I felt like I lost my way somewhere along the way. What changed?
In 2009 my husband left for a year long tour to Iraq. This was a very difficult time for our family, not did I found myself to be a single parent of three boys, but my hubby, best friend, and partner in life was going to a war zone. About a month after he left my mom, sister and cousin came to visit and my sister bought the ‘Twilight’ movie and raved about the books. Before she left, she gave me the first book as a gift. I devoured these books in no time at all AND in doing so discovered Goodreads, book blogs, author websites and a whole new world opened up for me. While my husband was away I probably read more than a 100 books (thank you mom for coming to stay with us for most of that year!)
I have been blogging for a short while (since May), but was following other blogs until I finally made my mind that I wanted to share the great joy that reading is for me. I hope I never get over my addiction!
