Feature and Follow Friday

Feature and Follow Friday is an awesome blog-hop hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read

This week's features are Zabet @ Reading Between Classes and Ione @ Read It, Read It, Love It this week's question is:

Do your reading habits change based on your mood? Do you read a certain genre if you are feeling depressed or happy?

Absolutely!  Maybe this is more common in women :)  When it gets time to pick up what book I'll read next, I stand in front of my bookcases and browse through my Kindle, reading the synopsis, until I find something that strikes my fancy. It might be an ARC, it might be a recently published book, or it might be an old one that's been patiently waiting for its turn for a while.

Sometimes I'm looking for a particular type: a romance, a light book or something more serious.  I also like to pick up old favorites once in a while and re-read them or enjoy my favorite parts once again.

What about you?  Are you a mood-reader?

  2. I don't think mine's so much to do with my mood, more I try and vary what I read from book to book - for example, not too much paranormal romance in a row and such!

    Great answer and Happy Friday!

  3. Awesome answer! Even though my books don't usually go with my mood, I do think it might be more of a women's thing, haha! Definitely agreed on going back and re-reading old favourites <3
