Another busy and difficult week. Besides work and the kids school, my dear hubby had two deaths in his family within the same week, needless to say it has been really hard. On a happier note, report cards came home on Friday and the boys did well (*deep sigh*). This is what I got this week:
Etiquette & Espionage by Gail Carriger - I had pre-ordered this one and it finally came! Can't wait to start you guys :)
Tight Knit by Allie Brennan - I saw a few good reviews in Goodreads and decided to check this one out. The cover is so cute.
Entangled by Nikki Jetford - What can I say? I love this cover and it's about witches, what's not to like?
When in Paris by BeverleyKendall - I'm in love with the new adult books floating about and this one sounds awesome.
Everneath by Brodi Ashton - I've seen mixed reviews about this book, but I just can't help wanting it (I'm a sucker for pretty covers!)
Victoria Rebels by Carolyn Meyer - I'm fascinated by Queen Victoria's life (and the movies made about it :) I read this one already and really enjoyed it (see my review here)
Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson - I loved Amy & Roger and this books has to be just as good, right?
Angefall by Susan Ee - I saw a review of this one recently and now I'm curious about it. Have you read it?
Dust Lands by Moira Young - I enjoyed Blood Red Road and I can't wait to visit with Saba again.
Guardian by Heather Burch - Thank you to the author and to Zondervan for the opportunity. I read Halflings and two of the novellas in the series as well and I really liked it.
My Ex From Hell by Tellulah Darling - This book looks like so much fun! Thanks to NetGalley and Te Da Media.
Emilie & the Hollow World by Martha Wells - I had this one as my WoW not too long ago, so I was really excited when I saw it in NetGalley. Thanks to Strange Chemistry.
What's stacking your shelves this week?
My condolences to your hubby and to you, Liza. :( It's a horrible sad time to go through. *hugs*
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll still be able to enjoy your reads because they look wonderful. I did read Angelfall, and it's one of the best dystopians I've ever had pleasure to read, truly awesome.
I'm also looking forward to new Gail Carriger, enjoy!
Thank you so much for your warm thoughts *hugs back*
DeleteYou always get some wonderful books. So sad to hear that you and your family recently lost some people. I really do hope you enjoy all your new books.
ReplyDeleteGrace
Thank you Grace, you always have so many amazing gooks too :)
DeleteSorry to hear about your husband's family. Here's hoping things look up soon.
ReplyDeleteYou just reminded me that I need to check out Victoria Rebels. I usually enjoy Carolyn Meyer's books. I haven't read Angelfall either, but I've read the summary and it's enough to make me curious.
Everneath! Squee! I quite like the series. I guess it's not for everyone, but I really hope you like it. :) In any case, the covers are delicious. I have also read Angelfall and it's AMAZING. It is hands down the best angel book I have ever read. And if you like it, I'd suggest you check out Sanctum by Sarah Fine. I just finished it and it's amazing. It's another Amazon Childrens Publishing book and although it's not quite about angels, it's similar in style to Angelfall. And the romance is EPIC!

I'll have to check Sanctum soon then! Thanks for the recommendation :)
DeleteOoo, Rebel HEart! I got an ARC a longgggg time ago, but have yet to read it! I should! And I wasn't a huge fan of Everneath, but many, many people liked it! Enjoy your books!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by my blog!
