Feature and Follow Friday #84

Feature and Follow Friday is an awesome blog-hop hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read

And the question is:

How do you handle a book you don’t like? Do you DNF or do you power through?

Once upon a time, before I became a blogger, I would power through and finish the book.  Now I have too many books to read and too little time to read them, thus I DNF.  If I’m interesting in the ending I might Goggle the book or look for reviews with spoilers in Goodreads.

Sometimes though, I just lose interest or patience with a book because things are going too slow or I do not like the direction that the plot is going towards (like watching a movie when the girl goes off into the woods to investigate a sound).  In those cases I would likely come back and finish the book later.

How about you?  Do you feel that you have to finish the book at all costs or do you DNF?

  1. I always follow through on books because I don't like missing out on books. I'm a bloglovin follower.

  2. Usually I will give a book 50-100 pages before I DNF if I'm not enjoying it. I used to power through but I no longer have the time and it turned reading into a chore. There are too many books on my tbr pile for me to feel guilty and I'm picky about what I read, so only have 1 DNF so far!
