Top Ten Sequels I Can't Wait To Get My Hands On

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish

Hello, lovely Reading with ABCers! In honour of this week's fabulous Top Ten topic, I've decided to do something different. Today's list will be a tense top ten countdown - the books are just that good!

Arianne, you just made my day with your list because I didn't know about some of these!  Sadly we cannot share all the lovely covers with you as most of these are not out yet.

10. Goddess by Josephine Angelini
I know, I know, I am seriously behind on my romantic-mythology reading! This was published in May but I haven't managed to get my hands on it yet.

9. Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins
Is there anyone who is not in love with this series?! The books aren't directly related, but I couldn't resist adding this to my list.
Expected publication: May 13th 2014 by Dutton

8. Just One Year by Gayle Forman
The lovely Liza's already read this one - and boy do I envy her! (see Liza's review here) It's taking all my willpower not to ask her to spill every detail already...
Published October 10th 2013 by Dutton

7. Sinner by Maggie Stiefvater
Well, talk about the unexpected sequel! Die-hard fans of the Mercy Falls books never stopped hoping for a return to that world, and finally, we have one!
Expected publication: July 1st 2014 by Scholastic Press

6. Dangerous Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
This spin-off companion series to the fabulous Beautiful Creatures finally tells Ridley and Link's side of the story - it's not out for another six months, but I'm already intrigued!
Expected publication: May 6th 2014

5. In the Age of Love and Chocolate by Gabrielle Zevin
It feels like I've been waiting for this one forever - and hopefully I'll be reading it very soon! I love the Birthright series so I'm excited to see where it goes from here.
Published October 29th 2013 by Farrar, Straus and Giroux

4. Take Me On by Katie McGarry
On the back of her success with the original Pushing the Limits trio - Noah, Beth and Isaiah - Katie McGarry promises yet another brilliant tale of loss, love and triumph worth fighting for in this, the fourth book in the series. I cannot wait!
Expected publication: May 20th 2014 by Harlequin Teen

3. Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi
The conclusion to Tahereh Mafi's spellbinding debut series has been a long time coming. She's such an amazing writer - I just know I'm going to cry over this one.
Expected publication: February 4th 2014 by HarperCollins

2. The Boy Most Likely To by Huntley Fitzpatrick
If any of us follow my general merrymaking around the internet (or even if you just follwo me on Twitter) you'll know that when I read My Life Next Door, I completely fell in love with it - and I can't wait to fall in love with that same book-world all over again.
Expected publication: 2015 by Penguin-Dial

1. Champion by Marie Lu
I thought choosing this list would be difficult, and in a way it was - but when it came the top spot, there really was no contest. It's the explosive finale to one of the most nail-biting dystopian trilogies ever to grace the shelves, and best of all, it publishes today!

Tell us about the sequels you're looking forward to in the comments - do any of yours appear here?

PS - Arianne, I will totally spill about Just One Year, just let me know :)

  8. CHAMPION!!! So excited that it's finally out and now we can see how it all ends! The plus side, it can't be worse than Allegiant! I get so sad over the endings of series I love! I've got Goddess sitting on my bookshelf, have read the first two but haven't read this one yet - I want to reread first two and just can't seem to find time!

I need to buy myself Tahereh Mafi's books, I've been wanting to read that series for so long now; I need to cave and just buy it for myself! Great list. My TTT.
