Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish
1. That was Then, This is Now by Susan E. Hinton – I read this book because my oldest son “A” had to read it for school and I was helping him with the book report. I certainly hurled the book to the nearest wall! Worst ending EVER!
2. A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Spark – This was the first book from Mr. Spark that I had ever read and I cried like crazy (of course, I know now that it is a requirement to cry in all of this books).
3. The Iron Queen by Julie Kawaga – I cried to so much on this book too! It was such a bittersweet ending. I am so happy to for The Iron Knight!
4. Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer – What can I say? I love Twilight for very personal reasons (see explanation here). It will always hold a special place in my heart.
5. Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan – This is one of the quirkiest and funnier books I have read. Loved it!
6. The Hunger Games series – I love this series, it is so raw and different. I recommended to everyone that cares to listen. It kept me thinking about it for the longest time.
7. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows by J. K. Rowling – This was an amazing series! I wasn’t expecting all the pain, despair, surprises, twists and turns. It was an incredible ride!
8. The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs – I cried to so munch reading this book that my husband beg me to stop reading it!
9. If I Stay by Gayle Forman – This is another book that stayed with me for a long time after I turned the last page. A painful story, told in a beautiful way.
10. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins - Such a happy book! Romantic, funny, with amazing and flawed characters that just begged to be loved.
What is in your Top Ten this week?
There are so many books on there that gave me strong emotions too! Especially The Hunger Games (which was honestly just amazing on its own!), If I Stay (which made me cry like a baby and still adore it all the way through), and The Iron Queen (which was a huge WOW book. I really hope you get to The Iron Knight soon -- it was pure awesomeness!).
ReplyDeleteAwesome Top Ten, Liza! We have such similar tastes in breathtaking books! :)
I was crying as well in Iron Queen!! What an ending!! I was happy there was The Iron knight as well. If not I would have died!!
ReplyDeleteI love The Hunger Games as well! It opens your eyes to reality :)
And ofcourse - Twilight :) I love it! :)
We both picked several of the same books! I'm glad to read you included The Hunger Games too. I haven;t seen it nearly as much as I thought I would.
ReplyDeleteGreat choices!
