Title: Waiting by Carol Lynch Williams
Published by: Simon & Schuster
Release date: May 1st, 2012
After her brother’s death, a teen struggles to rediscover love and find redemption in this gripping novel.
Growing up in Africa and Latin America as the children of missionaries, London and Zach were as close as could be. And then Zach dies, and the family is gutted. London’s father is distant. Her mother won’t speak. The days are filled with what-ifs and whispers: Did Zach take his own life? Was it London’s fault?
Alone and adrift, London finds herself torn between her brother’s best friend and the handsome new boy in town as she struggles to find herself—and ultimately redemption—in this authentic and affecting novel from award-winning novelist Carol Lynch Williams.
Why I want to read it: This book looks like a wonderful read. It is by the author of The Chosen One and Miles from Ordinary, so it's bound to be a great story. Also, I don't know what is it about this cover that I like so much; maybe it's that even though we see a couple, they look so lonely...

ReplyDeleteHi Liza!
ReplyDeleteCarol Lynch Williams is a great writer. I like the premise of this one - children of missionaries? Sounds really cool. It's nice to read about some unusual backgrounds sometimes.
I really like Carol Lynch Williams, ever since I read The Chose One last year, I can't stop gobbling up her books and this one looks like it's going to be so fantastic.
